Learn from a violist

Viola is Rebecca MacNamee's own instrument. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Viola Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs and the Royal Gorge Philharmonic. She is currently in Suzuki string pedagogy training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Who can sign up

Every student is different, so age guidelines are flexible. If your child is a little younger and seems ready, or you're not sure where they fit, I'm happy to talk with you about whether lessons are a good fit.

• Ages 5-7: Parent involvement is crucial at this age. You do not need any musical experience yourself - I’ll walk you through everything as we go to make sure your child is set up for success.

• Ages 8+: Students build independence in their practice, with a parent providing encouragement and support at home. I'll give clear practice goals each week so everyone knows what to work on.

• Adults: Whether you're a complete beginner or returning after years away, it's never too late to start.
