Private Violin, Viola, & Cello Lessons

My mission is to bring the benefits of music that I have experienced to as many people as possible. Guided by the Suzuki teaching methodology, I believe everybody can learn to play music when given the right tools and guidance. We will build a strong foundation, so you can play whatever style of music speaks to you, whether that be classical music, fiddle-style music, being able to show up to a jam session, or play with your friends.

• Ages 8 and up: Every student is different, so age guidelines are flexible. If your child is a little younger and seems ready, or you're unsure where they'd land, I'm happy to talk with you about whether lessons are a good fit.

• Adults: Whether you're a complete beginner or returning after years away, it's never too late to start!

I am currently offering violin and viola lessons.

I will begin offering cello lessons in January 2027.

If you play double bass, you can still reach out, as I’d love to have you in an ensemble!

I teach lessons out of the Steeple Event Center, located at 701 Macon Avenue in Cañon City, CO.

Every new student begins with a free consultation. It's a chance for us to get to know each other: I'll learn about your (or your child's) musical goals and experience, and you'll hear about my teaching style, what lessons look like, and what to expect as part of my studio. Feel free to bring any questions!
